Port Youth Ministry
Catholic Youth Ministry of Immaculate Conception,
Saukville, St. Peter of Alcantara and St. Mary's
Congregations, Port Washington, Wisconsin
Mission Statement:
Youth Ministry will educate the youth of our parishes as Catholic
Christians socially, spiritually and through service to others.
The Youth Ministry program of Immaculate Conception, St. Peter of
Alcantara and St. Mary's strives to follow the model created by the
United States Conference of Catholic Bishops in Renewing the Vision: A
Framework for Catholic Youth Ministry (http://www.usccb.
org/laity/youth/rtvcontents.htm)
As stated in that document, the goals of Youth Ministry are:
- Goal 1: To empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ
in our world today.
- Goal 2: To draw young people to responsible participation in the life,
mission, and work of the Catholic faith community.
- Goal 3: To foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each
young person.
...Ministry with adolescents utilizes each of the Church's ministries—
advocacy, catechesis, community life, evangelization, justice and service,
leadership development, and pastoral care.

Growing the Cluster Intergenerational/Family Faith Sessions
This year we offered special formation opportunities to all members of our
three parish cluster, regardless of age or family status, through our
Growing the Cluster Faith Sessions. Child, Youth, and Adult & Family
Ministries along with Port Catholic are collaborating to present "Growing
the Cluster." This was an exciting opportunity to grow together as the
Catholic faith communities of the Port Washington and Saukville areas.
During the sessions, we had a chance to pray, learn, and have fun together
as we examined our theme for the year “I am the Vine, you are the
Branches” from John’s Gospel. The same session was offered six times at
various times and locations to accommodate everyone’s busy schedule.
Here are some pictures from the events:
